Exclamation Yoko Advan Neova

Ok guys/gals I was with Yokohama this weekend in Long Beach and asked them when we can expect the Neova to arrive. Production has already started and our orders have been placed. We are hoping arrival by mid to late this month. Although not in the oem 235 just yet, the common 245/40-17 and 255/40-17 are on their way. In 18" the 235/40-18 has been ordered as well.

We are estimating the 17th for arrival to the Tire Rack. I don't see any in transit dates yet so nothing is concrete. I doubt it will be past May before we see them. Wish I could give you a more solid date but it all depends on transit time at this point.

This tire was at their facility and Long Beach (sorry, a set wouldn't fit into my carry on) and its quite impressive. A ton of work went into designing and producing this tire. It features heat releasing dimples, silica/carbon compound for better wet and dry handling conditions (even in lower than normal temps), and serrated tread block walls. The walls are pretty wild, I've never seen a tire with them before.

Our tire testing will start tomorrow on select items we have in stock. Once these arrive and I get a chance to beat on them I'll provide you with results. Yokohama has made a really cool site highlighting their new ADVAN model line. If you have a second stop by and take a look at the Neova and others coming soon.

It will prob be less than the OEM tire, but priced similar to the other higher performance based tires in its class.

Great news! What size to run on stock Enkei's, if not available 235/45 17? Think I'm gonna give these a try.

Neal,

I recently bought the Kumho MX's from Tire Rack, but my first and second choice was the Falken Azenis RT-615 or the Advan Neova AD07. Scca STU class for AWD is limited to a 245 tire so I need a 245/40/18 or 35. ETA? Cost?

BTW, great price on the MX'a at $138.00 a tire.

Thanks,

Dave

Dam, just looked on the Advan website and they do not list the 245/40/18. 235 and 255.

What is the tread life expectancy? The stock ADVANS wore pretty quickly with aggressive camber settings and 100+ degree Arizona heat? And what about the A048's as well?

The Neova has a UTQG number of 180 vs the 140 for the A046. The numbers aren't always very consistent when comparing between manufacturers, but within a single manufacturer (as in this case) it should be a good basis for comparison.

Going by the numbers, the Neova should last appx. 25% longer than the A046.

Yeah numbers don't mean a whole lot really. Still in the summer performance class and is really super sticky. Prob see 15K or so. Not much different than the A046 really.

Neal - Definitely looking forward to seeing if the BFG KD stays on top of your tire tests. I had these on my Impreza and they are still the best street tire I have tried.

Why doesn't the US get 235/45/17?

I've had the Neova AD07 tires since last July. Had to switch to sponsored rubber. but can't wait to get the Yokos back on.

Will we get the 235's? Can any of their current offerings be used on the Stock BBS wheels that the MR comes with ?
