Question 18x10 +15 / 18x10 +25 Question! Need Help!!!

Im looking at ordering rims in the next day or so and needing some information before i do order them to make sure I do not order the wrong ones and be screwed

I have read about people doing some 18x10 setups and saw some people could do a +22 but had to run a 3mm spacer to clear the front brakes,

so my real question is I am assuming the +25 wheels will not clear the calipers, so should i order the +15 since I assuming they will clear the calipers

also i did on willtheyfit website and it says that the +15 inner rim will sit in the same spot as the factory enkei wheels....

I need help tho, to make sure I dont order the wrong ones!!!!!

thanks again

Your question posed is one of the most difficult wheel setups for a stock body EVO

The +15 is out of the question let alone adding spacers

So the guys can help we would at least need to know which exact make / model of wheel youre looking at. Above in the fitment quide sticky, I gave you 2 of the more popular 18x10+ threads. You should read them both

Get an 18x10 plus 25 and run the spacer

You'll be sorry with the 15

those links do not really tell me much because all of them were running 10.5 not 10" wheel

also what do you mean ill be sorry with the +15, there is a red evo on the wheel guide thread with 18x10+15 all the way around and i know it will take some work but looks to fit well

Youre going to need a much larger offset for the 10's to fit. Dont let that poor example throw you off. Its doesnt fit. Its a true stance example

My opinions are always slanted to function over form. The super aggressive, non fitting offsets (less than +22) dont fit on the stock body rear

The +12's to the +15 offsets are really wide body spec's IMO

Opinion based on running proper camber & zero rub

Look at my build thread. My evo 8 had a voltex wide body and I ran 285/35 on a 18x10.5 ce28 then 17x10.5 plus 18 for the track.

A 22 offset is ghetto widest I would go and that's with a 18x9.5

Going a 10 wide makes no sense if your going to run a 245 to make it fit.

The bread and butter for this chassis is a 18x9.5 with a 30 offset you can run a 255 and 265 all day long. You just need to get a wheel that clears brembos.

Those both clear well due to their spoke design

A nice budget option are oem evo x wheels.

You can run 255 on the 18x8.5plus 35 wheel with ease.

so even the 18x10 +25 wouldnt fit well, I know i will have to roll and pull some, i was think of running 265/35

the rims are also offered in 18x10 +35 too

Ran your no.s using the +25 & the +35 (for sure the +35 helps w/the rear fenders but you are getting close to the rear lower control arm & I can not tell if it would contact)

I think its doable if you do the following to the rears. Rear roll, Rear fender pull using porta power / Rear bumber bolt re-locate & possible removal of rear splash guard

The fronts are much more forgiving but expect liner rub & consider the front fender spacer or wider fender

Not sure about the spoke fitment over the calipers so adding spacers will negate all of the above

Joe

i test fit a set of 18x10 +37 a few months back and the rear had a lot of run, it was sunken in big time, and obviously the front would of been good but the spokes didnt clear the brembos and needed about a 15mm spacer or so
