Sub $1500 Coilovers

My EVO is a DD which does not see the track or strip so I can't justify $2500+ for a name brand suspension.

Bought my EVO IV with Function & Form coilovers which are shot (car rides like a boat). My mechanic suggested BC Racing BR Series coilovers for my budget. Are they "better"?

Made in USA is better than made in china, as most entry-level coilovers go. FA gets my vote.

Thanks guys I hadn't heard of FA so I researched and I've decided to get a set of 500s Gen6. Most of what I've read shows a lot of people running 8k front 10k rear with and without an upgraded rear sway bar. The sales rep at FA suggested 8k all around.

Dilemma...

If I was just street driving w/very little track time, I would go w/the 8K/10K & get a Whiteline 24mm rear sway

My FA setup is the 510's at 10K/12K. None of the FA guys, I know, run the squared 8K/8K

My .02

FA is as cheap as I would go. Anything less and I'd stay OEM with lowering springs.
8k/8k would be a comfortable ride for around town. Especially since it's your daily. You could go more "performance" but you'll never notice the difference on the street. For daily use, I wouldn't see a point in going stiffer in the rear.

I have a set of Ohlin Flags to replace them. They cost a fair bit more, but parking lot racing has lots of variability that requires double adjustability at the pointy end.
