2014 MR Dyno Results - 270WHP, 296WTQ
2014 MR, tuned by FFTEC in Hayward, CA on a Mustang Dyno
91 Octane
Mods:
Buschur Crossflow 3" with Magnaflow
ETS High-flow cat
Cosworth drop-in filter
Grimspeed 3 port BCS
Wheel Torque (Ft-Lb) - 296
Wheel power (HP) - 270
--------------------------------
Feels significantly quicker over stock. Mid-range comes on really strong. Turbo lag is almost non-existent. I was hoping for bigger numbers, but it still feels great.
Opinions on next mods for the biggest impact for money?
Opinions on how far you can safely push the Evo X aluminum block & MR tranny?
Thanks.

Compared to a nice set of 18" Volks they are bricks.
Used sets pop up from time to time in the $1600-2000 range (then you sell off your OEM BBS to recoup some of the cost).
I say go for either a set of CE28 or RE30's. Both look and perform great.
I think 18x9.5 +22 is the size and offset you should look for. Then run a 265/35-18 high performance tire (like AD08R or ZII Star specs for summer). Should be a good compromise between weight and more than enough grip for your power level.
Some people will say go for 275 tires, but IMO that is just adding weight for extra grip you wont need.

Actually your BBS wheels are fairly light. 18.5lbs, it's the Enkei's on the GSR that weight a bit. A set of 18X9.5 +22 CE28N weight in at 17.6 in comparison and seem to be the lightest of most Volks for our Evo's. Going to a 265 tire will net you a 1lb increase over stock setup. With your power, I don't think wheels and tires will help. Unless you just want a set because they look good!! Which they do!

Great numbers! Id recommend doing sway bars. Best bang for your buck suspension wise. After I did mine it was night and day difference. I've done plenty of research on the SST and your limit torque wise is ~340wtq. Depends on mileage and such. Variables. As for getting more power id go with a tubular exhaust manifold for the next step. Less choke on your turbo=more power

The weight difference is substantial.

I only have one gripe with the car currently and that is the exhaust smell under hard acceleration with the windows down. You definitely get a smell in to the cabin...especially if I only have the front two windows down.
Running the ETS HFC. Anyone else experience this?
I thought this was a symptom of test pipes, but not HFCs.
