GSR Transmission fluid...RP anyone?
been thinking about changing my gearbox (manual transmission) fliud for 75W-140 or 75w-90, OR just Royal Purple's synchromax manual transmission fluid?
anyone use this before?
if not what'd you use. any reccomendations?
also- do we need GL- 5? or GL-4
EDIT- the reason I ask, is because i read this thread: http://www.evoxforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14420
but doesnt mention RP anywhere... or if its GL4/5

just so you guys know, MT-85 IS NOT for the evo X in straight form. the x requires a different viscosity than previous model evos. the redline cocktail (2mtl, 1 mt90) is almost exactly the same viscosity as OEM. this info given by Kracka to me in the past. Just passing it along. and it is GL4

I use AMSoil. AMSoil is a little rough shifting at first for about 1 minute or so if it is cold outside, but once it warms up it is really good. Most people use either AMSoil or Redline fluid.
I used Royal Purple in my previous Evo and I will never use their oil again.. I would burn about 2qts a week. Others have experienced this too in STis, S2000s, etc.. I changed my oil again with Mobil 1 and had no problems. I have never used their Gear Lubes though..
