Could someone please tell me what values are what going from left to right? I always have a hard time deciphering them.

Malibu,

yes sir. It certainly is. We had some small problems along the way...with a cometic head gasket, and bad spec clutch set-up etc...

finally in running order...

I am going to do some tuning tonight.... start bringing the timing back while my afr is comfortable (11.0) on pump gas... 10.7 at redline.

mainly im going to add some 100% timing from 6.6-7200 rpm, 1.5 degrees or so.... and a little bit of fueling in a few places. but it is a comfortable smooth tune.

On C16 im going to get quite a bit more aggressive on timing and run her around 12.3-12.4 afr around 30 psi.

ill post my thoughts. When our dyno is in, ill post some plots.

cheers.

sorry sir, i didnt plug it properly.

youre looking at

RPM map/psi MAF throttle load knock ecutiming idc utectiming fuelchange

last two are boost values (im on a manual so disregard) and then modded MAF

Just for a few notes.... we are running the optional MAP sensor (thanks jermaine) and have notice an increase in driveability and more linear runs through the load sites.... this turbo ramps quick though for its size. I'm not being very aggressive down low, to bring spool in sooner.....

also..... the idle is set to 1000rpm (262/272 cams) which makes a significant difference in idle quality. The car is a bit rough on cold (first thing in the morning cold) starts, otherwise drive-ability is excellent.

The tip-in goes a tiny tiny bit lean sometimes, which is generally something we see on the UTEC even on the subies, but doesnt transition hesitate like most, because we spend a lot of time logging the stock ecu values.

Overall I am quite pleased with the UTEC's performance. Can't wait for an update though, as are the rest of us.

any more thoughts and comments are welcome.

here is a pic of the motor....

mods are:

2005 Evo MR

gsc 264/272
supertech valves
stock head gasket with arps
SPEC stage 3+ clutch, restrictor removed
880cc injectors and walbro
inline fuel pressure gauge
RNR manifold
GT35R .63 housing
CBRD water/oil lines
CBRD Ic pipe/IC/Exhaust w/magnaflow muffler
TurboXS UTEC w/MAP sensor
CBRD inlet pipe
TurboXS MBC
(apex avc-r wired in, not in use for now)
CBRD cold air feed
CBRD vent plate
Eibach Springs
19" Volk TE-37's

etc....

Cheers

Very impressive. What kind of issues were you having with the Cometic head gasket?

sorry,

we have a local hotrod builder cut our heads and clean the motors up... they cut a little less smooth than what is ideal for a stainless steel type gasket. We had a sealing problem.

We are going to switch to SCE gaskets to see how they work out.... or just use HKS from now on. So far the stocker has been fine at up to 30psi with the arp head studs...

cheers

I will have some more accurate logs shortly... the new clutch goes in today, and i will break it in, then log when i can boost it.

We recalibrated the MAP sensor...so you will see accurate boost readings now... i believe 25psi is somewhere around 53-5500 depending on gear... and i also added back about 5 degrees of timing at peak torque (around 10 degrees on pump around 5K) and up to 25 or so at redline...

cheers...
