Thats not a bad deal on the Pioneer, but I've never heard of Almani and can't find any info about them. What brand amps were these?

I wouldn't put more than 600 or 700 bux total into a system. It just weighs down our already slow lancer and rattles the car to pieces. Also your hearing goes bad very fast. I just have a 350watt mono block amp, 2 polk momo subs with a custom built fiberglass enclosure. I'd just go for something like that.. its cheaper, cleaner, and looks nice. (sounds very nice too)

I spent about a $1000, and did all the installation myself. I would not go to crazy if I was you.

Hey Lncrprncss, I have an all almani audio setup.. check out my cardomain site through my profile to view my setup. I have:
3 Almani 10" subs
2 Almani amps (1 1240 and 1 840)
1 Almani capacitor
Almani component speakers
Alamani tweeters.
7 in monitor in my trunk
Valor DVD player
All for 3K. So in short, I would say 2450 isn't that bad. THe sound quality is excellent and I am really happy with it.

sounds like your overdoing it there. i used to be into all that stuff, all i had was a pioneer head unit, the cheapest pioneer speakers, rf 8g wiring, 1 rf punch p2 10" sub, and lighning audio amp, and that was plenty for a lancer. i bought all of it excluding the head unit for about 320, only used it for about 6 months and recently sold it for 280. i think you should just go with a smaller setup that isnt overkill, and will cost much less.

yeah it's all a matter of preference. Myself, I go all out, but most people just want good sound. So yeah in short, the more dough you spend, the more complicated your system will be

Sounds about right for the equipment... but be careful they don't hose you on the install. 2450 sounds about right for that much gear, but the install can easily be triple that if you're getting engraved plexi and a full custom trunk. I'm currently putting together a system worth about 5 times that quote for a customer, and he's going to be paying out the *** for the install.

I do not see an up grade on your alternator. I agree with the install considerations. You will be shaking every thing pretty hard.

It all depends what you're trying to do. If you want good sound quality, but aren't into showing your car, you don't need to get a ton of stuff. It's not always about brand either. The quality of the sub enclosures, as well as proper power matching between amps, and speakers is a big part too. Obviously if you put a 1000 watt amp on subs that are only meant to handle 500 peak (and vice versa) they will sound like crap. I've never heard of almani or whatever brand it is, but I can tell ya if $2500 includes custom work such as fiberglassing, neons, etching, etc. then that price all of a sudden doesn't sound too bad. The system I have in my car I paid about $1200 for all of my equipment. And I installed everything myself or with the help of friends. But with the setup I have, if I would have taken it to a shop and had them do all the labor, I would have paid twice what I did. Labor is where the audio shops kill ya. If you can get your equipment cheap and then install it yourself or have a friend or get a hookup to do your labor then you'll save some money.

What ampage draw are you looking at for both of those amps??? Just might need that alt. upgrade. Man...with just the MTX 6004 I was using with (3) 25 fuses made those headlights dim real bad. Good luck.
