talk to smoktout or urbanknight.. they have the teins on their rides. im about go buy them myself pretty soon too. the ride is good because you could adjust the dampening of the shocks and could either make the ride a little bouncy or really stiff. talk to those two members if they dont post here today.

If I had the money I would definitely get the adjustible Tein coilovers. Since there are no aftermarket struts for our cars, I see it as the only way to lower the car and be safe. Plus they offer the most adjustability, durability, and a nice name brand that is trusted. I'll be getting them sometime in the future, unless something else comes out to change my mind.

im not sure if this is entirely true, i have the JIC setup, im not sure why people dont buy them.. mainly because what everyone forgets about the TEINs is that you need to spend extra for the camber kit, JIC comes with it, and i believe JIC has far more abilities than the TEINs

if i get those, i will be getting 18's, this guy i know have the coilovers with 18's on his lancer, and he said they dont rub at all bcuz of how stiff they are, i kno a couple other ppl who have 18's that rub alot w/o the coilovers

Road Race sells both versions, the adjustable damper and the non. As for buying the Tein over the JIC, it was cost. At the time, Jics cost $1900 and Tein cost $1190 (and I got a "camber kit" for $40). I recently found out Tein does not make camber plates for the Lancer, so if I need more than just my camber kit, I'll be talking to JIC anyway. But other than the camber kit, they seem to be about equal. I still don't see an advantage of the inverted strut???
Anyway, I love them, they make a big difference in the ride characteristics. Not too bumpy, but you do need to really stiffen up the rear of the car to get some drift back. But I am making major advances in my autocross region after dialing in the Teins.
edit: and why didn't I see this thread earlier? I usually go to the suspension forum first, but this it usually the second one I go to now. Moving to suspension tech anyway.
