Looks like STI's can make big power with stock motor!

below is a quote from the 8th page! I must say i am suprised !
Back from the dyno. Going to post graphs soon. In the next 10 minutes or so.
This car is stock except for our turbo kit, fuel upgrade and TB exhaust. Engine is 100% stock Subaru. Stock clutch as well and stock fuel lines. We bolted our GT35R kit on with our FMIC and this is the result.
The car made 420whp on pump gas. AZ 91 octane from Quick trip (like a circle K). Aaron wanted us to tune his car on Trick race fuel because he gets this fuel local. This is the same as Sunoco. The car made 440ish whp on this fuel. I did not want to push it to much more on that gas. I dont like it and was a bit nervous. Next we (mike and I) tuned the car on C16 fuel. We ran 30 psi to get 513whp. I feel the car would have made 540-550whp tuned out max but the owner of the car stopped us at 513 and said no more. He is now going to drive the car 6.5 hours back home. He plans on a motor upgrade when he needs it.
I just drove the car back and 30 psi is just sicko on the road. I did a 5th gear pull and it was pulling harder and harder till redline. This car is nuty on pump gas and really more then people will really need. On C16 its insane. With 513 whp and 475ft lbs of trq and what I call a very broad power band, this car might be the perfect Road race/drag race STI.
Look for the graphs in the proven power forum. If you have any questions post them in that forum please.

His engine will fail. 30PSI is too much for these engines and it wont last long at all. I was a turboxs and they said they ran their STi on 32 PSI but they were trying to blow it up. Anything over 25 on an STI is over kill and its proven as many engine have been blown so far.

Yea the 4G63 is a tank. Don't forget too that the 2.5L STI engine is very new and only just recently built for our markets so theres a reason for it not being as reliable as our precious 4G63... Mitsu has been using this motor for how long now? Well over ten years on sevral diffrent models? Thats called reliability

Keep in mind that motors are not made perfectly the same every time. This guy could have got lucky and got a PERFECTLY balanced motor, which would drastically help in the power output. I do agree that 30 PSI is too much for a street car with stock internals. If he does have a well balanced motor, I won't be that way for long.

can the 4g63 handle 30psi? can the rest of the car (like if you got a MBC and set it at 30psi)? and NO, i'm not planning on getting an MBC and setting it at 30, more like 20-21, just wondering
