the fact that it can keep up with eclipses and it looks damn better than that fish looking body style, i'd say its worth it. it has just come out and already there are lots of aftermarket parts avail. the only drawback of course is its a hyundai. id get one if i wasnt so panty wet in love with '99 eclipses.

its not quick all they did was put the sonata motor in it thats it and added a a 6 speed so the engine isnt reallya performance engine its 1/4 was at 15 something and 0-60 was at 6-7 cant remember but it looks damn nice thats for sure.

friends owning Hyundais are complaining about mechanical problems...often breakdowns....so I don't have a very good impression about Hyundais.
it'll probably be fun to play with it for a while, probably should start thinking about getting rid of it after 6 months.
for longer playability...i always look at japan's big 5

I seriously considered the 2003 Tib, but just couldn't bring myself to drop 18 large on a car that NEEDED a 10 year 100000 mile warranty. I'd rather save my cash and pick something else up.
I will say that I love the body styling. Ferrariesque with those gills.

I looked at the Tib., was to pricey, I ended up get a Sentra Spec V which has a high value due to limited numbers of the car being made. Has the same HP but 180 ft./lb. of torque from a 2.5 4cyl. So far I have not found a new TIB I can't beat, or even an RSX Type S for that matter. And the Spec V was only 17, with a 6 speed and 17in. rims.

The new Tibby was somewhat of a disappointment. I like the looks, and it's an exceptional value, but Hyundai really dropped the ball on overall performance. It's quite heavy for its size, has an overly soft suspension with way too much body roll, and the brakes struck me as being both soft and weak.
If you want a car to tune, the Tibby might be a good choice, because it can be greatly improved with some relatively small changes. If you're looking to leave it stock, there are probably better choices.

I like the looks of the car... call me crazy, but, it kind has supra-like lines...
However, I've heard that the 6-speed sucks... I mean, it's got large shifting distances, and really doesn't give you a feeling of... control... driver/car meshing... I'd rather have the Spec V myself.
