Running a Fire Extinguisher

With all the fuel system mods I've done I came to the conclusion that I don't want to watch my car burn to the ground....

And it's just a good idea to have a fire extinguisher in your car at the track. So I built this guy. It came it nice, and makes me feel happy.

Here it is mounted on the passenger seat in my EVO 8.

Was that a 2.5lb extinguisher?

I need to set this up for my car so I can run it. Do you sell a kit?

Looks Good.
I need to get one in my car. I will probably mount mine in the trunk.

I wish I could:

4.1.8 FIRE EXTINGUISHER
A fire extinguisher (2.5lb minimum) must be firmly mounted to solid metallic structure in a metal bracket and be within easy reach of the driver. Both dry chemical and Halon types are acceptable. Integral fire systems are also allowed in all groups.

^^^^ Exactly. Trunk doesn't help when you are on fire inside the car, and need to put it out ASAP.

Yep. JID's mount is setup for a 2.5 lb. I picked it up, but I still need to buy an extinguisher.

If anyone knows a good place/brand/type to order - lemme know.

^^^^ Dexonline.com search and find a local supplier, otherwise you pay a hazardous shipping fee. The Amerex brand is the big player.

Or this place if you want to have it shipped.

Will any of the 2.5lb extinguishers work with your bracket?

I believe so, most of the 2.5 lb OEM mounting brackets are the same. But I have only verified the Amerex brackets so far.

Wow, hazmat shipping fees are $25. Anyone know if you can get these at home depot or Kragen/Pep Boys?
