Pumpkin Patch : Oct. 2014

We took our baby girl to the Dallas Arboretum to get a full dose of Pumpkin Patch-ing.
There was a huge turn-out of other families with their newborns, it was like a massive baby convention!!

Happy Halloween!

She's a cutie. Man I remember when mine were that age and loved everything they could soak up in life. We could all be better off with them staying that age.
My Youngest girl is now driving to V-ball & boxing club in the Outlander by herself.

Thanks man.
Mommy had some extra cute DNA going.

The pass year just flew by..
I think both of us are ready for her to change her own diapers, so I don't know about your statement.

****************

I can imagine it'll be tough to let them go spread their wings.
My wife is already talking about "how difficult it will be to watch her go off to college."

My main concern is what type of boyfriend(s) she may encounter.
Daddy's going to have his ninja sword sharpen and hung by the front door.

never in a hundred years would I have ever imagined spending more than $150 for a "basic convertible" child seat...

However, once you have your baby.
The term "Money's no object" really comes into play.

Just snagged a brand new Britax Boulevard G4.1 Convertible Car Seat $329.

Who knew the technology that can actually go into one of these chairs!
> Steel Rollcage/frame
> 5-point Harness
> Shock absorber base (Honeycomb gell)
> Fully adjustable Head & Neck protection & Double SafeCell padding

Britax : Boulevard - Convertible Child Seat

It just arrived.
Never thought I would do a review of one of these...
But, for anyone who may be looking into a solid convertible seat for your little one.
Here's my overview -

Unboxing-

Our's comes with Window Shades

and a cup holder

My thoughts of the chair -
Nice and easy adjustable head & shoulder padding. The harness adjusts with the height, so you Don't have to "re-thread" the shoulder straps each time you make an adjustment.

Cloth materials feels good and thick. Paddings are soft but firm.

5-point harness.
It includes the strap Paddings (which is nice) and the added rubber "bump" pads (in grey, the backside of it is heavily gel padded) to protect the chest area better.

One of its most impressive features of this unit -
>> Solid steel frame!
It runs from head to toe and covers the extreme edges of the seat on both sides. It's cantered so it's wider at the bottom and narrows a bit towards the top.

rectangular tubing

Strong base mount WITH a rubberized side impact bumper molded in.

Comes with every conceivable connection strap you will need to tie this chair down! Including the LATCH system.

(And, if you didn't know.. Britax invented the LATCH anchoring system.)

Another very impressive design is this crazy large "shock absorber" built into the base >
That will most likely prevent any major shock forces from being transferred to the seat in a serious collision.

Both my wife and I looked at a LOT of chairs and we feel for the money, you won't find another chair built safer than this one.

Additional Notes:

- MADE IN USA
- Manufactured Date: 11/13/2014
- Certified for Aircraft Travel

We are total out doors people, we spend a ton of time out by the pool and doing bbq's with the family. We actually fired up the pit last night for the 1st time this season and set out side and ate on the patio with the in-laws. It is crazy I think I was more nervous with our 1st baby than I was with the second or now even the 3rd. My wife has been luck and has had 3 pretty smooth pregnancies, she even did Cross Fit up until 2 weeks before she gave birth to our second baby. I joke with her a lot telling her she has never really done Cross Fit not pregnant. She is a trooper, the only thing we are facing now is cleaning out the house and getting the new babies room ready.
This will be our 3rd.....wait for it...... GIRL! lol Yep 3 for 3, I am so out numbered even our dogs are female... They are all daddies girls though... and now you know why I love guns so much!
