J's GoForBroke Streetcar Build (Belak.6466.FF.Built 2.0L)
I've really enjoyed reading the build threads of Wheatley, Scott, Joey, Ernie, Collin, Dan, etc.. all you top notch guys.
So I felt like this was about time, this will probably be a lot at once then it'll slow once everything is done because I have my Audi I've lost focus on and need to finish.
Not to bore you with a long back story, I bought the car from a forum member with a built motor by Strictly Modified and misc other little things, I've changed almost the entire car except the motor. It's a WW Evo 8 with almost everything you'd want from an Evo 9. I love it I have the best of both cars IMO
I've owned this car for a little bit now and slowly have been fixing a lot of things that bothered me, I'm not sure what it was this year but I got tired of messing around and doing little things here and there and decided it was time to turn the car into what I want it to be. Which leads me to this.. the mountain of parts in my house ready to install.
First, how the car looks at the moment, besides the new intercooler.
Some of the things I have laying around..
Koyo Half Rad
Fortune Auto "Drag Spec" Coilovers with optional radial mounts
Tial MV-R (44mm) External wastegate
PTE 6466
FIC 2150's/ Kiggly HLA/ ARP Manifold stud kit
BR Double Pumper
DS2500 Brake pads/AMS SS brake lines/ and I also have DBA rotors to go on
and tons and tons of other little misc stuff, lines, gaskets, etc.
Installed..
AEM 50psi boost gauge
Varex 3" Remote Muffler inline with my Buschur Vband exhaust
Evo 7 Tails
ETS 4" FMIC with optional Garret Core.. No picture yet, just put it on this past weekend
Pretty much the only thing left is my hot parts kit and some little extra things from Collin, him and I have become really good friends we have a common interest in beautiful metal, firearms, and cars lol I can not wait for those pieces to come in. Dude is Leonardo da Vinci of manifolds
Alex and his FF A/C kit. We've also chatted quite a bit back and forth and I'm pretty excited to see the final product. I wouldn't even be going FF if it wasn't for him, I love my A/C to much lol
My friend welding up my new valve cover with AN fittings and then I'll send that and some other stuff to another friend who powdercoats, etc. Also need to buy some catch cans.
And finally most likely a tune from TSComp..
Hopefully this will be a very very fun street car when all said and done

but.. it's really not lol. The Chicago and New England weather has taken it's toll along with someone who wasn't good at fender rolling. It's a good 10 footer and looks good in pictures but the body drives me crazy (I'm a very **** and detailed person at times) This fall I'll probably send it to a friend for body work and paint, I just may go crazy and do that Lambo Gray..
The Varex muffler is installed. I hate mufflers with a JDM rear so it's mounted between the downpipe and catback, just fits. It's one of the best things I've bought and it does wonders even with the whole rest of my exhaust being straight 3". It help's a lot on the highway and I live in a city where the cops are horrible. I can drive around downtown and not even worry about them anymore. MA is a strict state on emissions, exhausts, etc. I'd say it's a must if you want the best of both worlds. I'll try to get a video at some point.

I hear exactly what you are saying man. My White 9 I bought local and it seen all winters in Chicago as well. The car overall is actually very clean. However, if I ever got the motor out I would probably rear spray the whole bay. I hate winters lol. Lambo gray would be sick. I always wanted to do a different color on an EVO.

Thanks guys, hopefully soon all the bushings, brakes, suspension and wheel stuff will be on soon and at the same time look for any other worn out components while the car is in the air. I'll have pictures to follow. Then it should just be a all motor related stuff the rest of the way
