1000hp BW72mm, PPG dog box, air shifted goodness!

Well its time to start logging this awesome build we are doing for John F from Texas. I know its not an EVO but it's still worth showing off . Its a 2gb pearl white GSX that is amazing clean. Goal is to make north of a 1000hp

The build consists of...

Engine package-
Half filled 99 7 bolt block
Wiseco HD 10.5:1 w/ Oliver turbo billet extreme 150mm rods
Custom aged 625+ head studs
Felpro permatorque HG
Kiggly HP springs, supertech 1mm OS valves, Kelford 284HL, Race ported 2g head.
Magnus drysump oiling system

Transmission/drivetrain/body mods-
PPG straight cut dog box 1-4 with stock 5th, center spool
Magnus 1-2 shift fork, PPG 3-4 shift fork
Ikeya sequential shifter
CO2 to control shifts on ignition cut up-shift button
Transmission will be assembled by Jon @ TRE
Magnus launch control device
Magnus billet front knuckles with redesigned front suspension and flaming river manual rack
Magnus tubular rear subframe.
Custom tubular front end.
17x9 +38 Gramlight 57DR wheels
Hoosier 245/45/17 DR's
DSS stage 5 rear axles and driveshaft

Power adders/fuel-
ProEFI Pro128 Engine management w/ custom harness designed by us
Fuel Injector Clinic 2150s
Aeromotive mechanical pump w/ custom swirl pot, fuel cell.
JMF drag SMIM
Custom thin wall foglight mount twinscroll manifold.
Borg Warner S400SX FMW 72mm w/ 1.25ar turbocharger

First up is finish the engine package and get the cage built. This build will take a little bit and will continue as parts show up but very excited to be putting this one together.

Inside the shop, and we started to strip this thing dowwnn.











He wanted a awesome turbo. So, we got him one! BorgWarner s400sx FMW 72mm!











Lovely engine parts we got waiting to be assembled. Kelford 284HL, Kiggly Racing springs, Wiesco Pistions.

Why wouldn't you use a BB turbo on a build of this caliber instead of a s472?

Why would you use a BB turbo at all? In all my years of racing I have never used a ball bearing turbo. Only benefits I see in a BB platform compared to a borg JB is the ability to take surging better.

Cage material is here. Pictures probably next week of the cage progression.

Fully stripped! And is getting ready for the tubular front end.







Also in the mix of all this! Hoosier came in.

We got time today to cut the front of the car off.









Sketching out some stencils to cut of some plates for the frame.
