Well, thats usually true but not in this case. The mods are the only reason this car has value.

Whats an 89 240 worth, 3 or 400 maybe.

i dont know where you guys buy cars but in AZ and CA a 89-93 240sx with front silvia front end conversion and sr20det motor and turbo set up makes the car work $7000-10,000 minimum, and newb "mods dont reall add value to your car" IS SO WRONG, cold air and exhaust and rims dont add value, but if you do full engine swaps and turbos that adds value, thats been adding value since like 1960's, 1950's since for ever. That why you see old chevelles and camaros and mustangs fully restored selling for tens of thousands of dollars, anyways good luck with selling, a person truly into 240's knows what there worth and what mods brings the car to what price. So good luck!!!

PS: The reason i know this is because i have had 3 240's, two of them were 89 coupes and one was a 90 fastback, try http://www.240sxforums.com, theres a lot of sr20det prospect buyers there.

I have a couple 240's myself
89 coupe with red top, fmic, S15 turbo, koyo... and a lot more
95 SE with RB25DET.. mods aren't as much as my coupe
97 base model - stock, daily car

so I'm just saying that for 14K.. that is wayyyyy to much to ask for THAT car. I mean look around you can buy show/go quality 240 at that price. I live in Arizona and there is no way ppl here will buy that car at that price, not even 10K. Theres a guy here selling his 90 Hatch with blacktop, fmic, koyo, full turboback exhuast, dori dori style rims, tanabe coilover, s14 seats, walbro 255... for $3800

However I do agree with you that in CA 240 go for A LOT more than they're supposed to be. ****, s13 cost more than s14 over there..lol crazy

I just sold my S13 240SX with SR20DET for $9000 but with a stock JDM motor and not as many mods and I had dumped $20K and 3 years building the car.

His car has a lot more and he dumped a lot of money into it. So yes, it does look worth what he is asking.
