!!The New ETS 4" Review"

I spoke to Tom on Monday inquiring about a new front mount intercooler that I needed due to the fact that I sold my old one to a local guy and installed it on his car on Wednesday. I was left intercoolerless for a couple of days. Tom informed of the new design that he and JR had been thinking of fabricating for the Evo community. He asked me if I wanted to be the first to try the new design; I gladly accepted the offer and received the intercooler 3 days later!

This particular intercooler is the redesigned 4" core that is now 22" x 11.5" x 4" By shortening the length of the intercooler, ETS was able to make slightly larger end tanks for better airflow and distribution and also make the best use of the Evo IX front bumper.
When the intercooler arrived yesterday, I couldn't believe its size and quality. It looks like and absolute BEAST on the car. I have a bunch of pictures that size up the intercooler nicely for everybody to see. I will have more pictures up when I have the car completely finished. I now have my "race" core
To Tom and JR You guys really have it going on over there. Your excellence in fabrication, servitude, and pricing never ceases to impress me. I am afraid to tell the community what the retail price of this particular intercooler is going to be.

This intercooler will fit the Evo VIII and the Evo IX for those wondering and will also be available for the 3", 3.5", and 5" cores. ETS!!!
More details to come.

To Tom: Pimpness factor confirmed 100%

Just finished the complete install and I still can't believe how easily everything fit together. To make this a complete bolt on ALL you need are two washers in addition to what ETS already provides you with the intercooler. I am sure Tom will add this to their kit to make it 100% bolt on. For the cost that this kit will run you guys to have a "race" intercooler, for its fit and finish, there is no better option. By the way, the core is the EXACT size of the Evo IX front bumper length wise.

Wow! Thats the reason I went with a 3.5, the stock bumper fitting. This thing looks perfect. I feel myself outgrowing the 3.5 fairly soon, and when that happens hello ETS .... again. I dont doubt the quality. They are an excelent company

Oh yea, whats up with the spacers on the mounting? Seems like that would set the intercooler out more than 4".?

Its the easiest way to line up the end tanks with the lower intercooler and uper intercooler pipes. and clear the radiator and all lines and such

Hmm, my LICP touches my undertray a little. If it came out a little more I could align that one properly. Mabye that'll work for my 3.5. Whats the length of those spacers, curious, I think Im going to be at the hardware store later anyway.

Thanks
