thanx for that pic above, saved me time and money. I was about to attempt the same thing thinking the headlight curvature could be trimmed. Apparently its slightly more complicated that that.

I thought the exact same thing. I may still chop it up and make it fit, not sure yet tho.

havent gotten around to finish it tho, cause i started working on my stock hood cause im afraid of water getting into the engine bay since the vent isnt in the correct position i suppose.

the black hood it my stock one.i chopped it up.filled it with expanding foam n shaped it up fiberglassed it the other night still waiting for it to cure.Dont mind the foam on the bumper,it expanded out of hand.anyways heres the pics.

one of the guys above wanted to see how the evo hood looked cut.
im using my stock hood right now cause of the latch issue with the evo hood.
i was just basing how far the hood should be out using the 04 lancer es grill.

Wow that's a pretty cool project. Would love to see this done!
Ugh I would gladly trade in my cf hood to have an Evo 8 grill/hood fitted.

PS to nosreme722
Where did you find that very 1st picture of that lancer with that hood? Cause either that owner has some amazing cutting skills or he found some kinda kit/hood/front bumper that I never heard of.

i bought an evolution 8-style hood for my '05 lancer ES from ACCOLADE. i don't think they're in business no more, however. perfect fitment, no modification needed. and it was only $200!
