Plastidip'ed rims and other stuffs

Decided to do some eye lids with plastidip, doesn't look all that great (it looks like I just put a black tape on the headlight) :P

Plastidipp'ed motegi ff6 (16x7 offset 42, it looks sharper with black rims I think.
Stock height, but I put bigger tires (205-55-16), it's 2.5" higher than normal if remember from tirecalculator'; recommended for 16"(205-50-16). No problems with rubbing until now.

DIY : Maplight + Sunglass compartment

Note : some of the pic is taken from somebody's else since I don't wanna redo everything again

This is a good upgrade for Lancer people who only has dome light. I feel my dome light is not enough bright (even with 48 smd LED) and I need the sunglasses compartment to store my TOM FORD :P.
It's not as hard as I think it would be, just make sure you plan out everything.
The wiring is pretty simple, you can just tap them from the dome light wiring, you can access them through the A-pillar. You will see black/white (+) and black (-). For people who doesn't have the harness plug to the map light. You can use Male T-TAP (18-22 awg size) as the plug, it fits perfectly.

Things needed :
1) 2x male T-Tap - for plugging in them to the maplight (+) and (-)
2) some male & female T-Tap for tapping the dome light wiring
3) 2 screws - long enough to reach the metal extension and short enough not to go through all the way to the roof. U need to ground this screw to the left-right bulb and to the metal body of the car, and to make sure the maplight+sunglass compartment won't rattle during driving
4) styrofoam and 3M tapes to fill the gap btw sunglasses compartment area and the roof
5) 18-22 awg wires
6) cardboard boxes to make a template - just make sure you dont over cut, you want to have that tight fit, so the roof liner helps to hold the maplight+sunglasses compartment in place
7) drill - strong drill since you will be drilling a metal part on the car

VOILA

as I open the door, the middle bulb turn on

when I push the left button

when I push the right button

Thanks! Where in jersey?
I got it from ebay -neondials.

get the one with HID tho, it looks much better with the projector headlights. Very easy to install. It's just plug and play from the OEM harness. Let me know if you need help.

looks really good. i love the flat black rims.

i've tried to like rims with a polished lip, but i just cant. i think the lip takes away from the overall appearance of the car.

Thanks! Totally agree! I wish I could go back and choose a different rims. For smaller rims, I prefer rims with no lips, the spokes extend out to the max, make the rims look bigger. My 16s look like 15s bcoz of the lips.
