RE: Help w/ Ground Wire install

I'm just looking for some to post a picture of the connection points for the ground wires. Its fairly simple I'm just not 100% sure where to connect each one. Thanks for the help!!

Let's see how helpful I can be, unfortunately I don't have a more detailed picture -

1. Down the driver's side of the battery, grounded to the body
2. Attached to bolt on the back of the engine (not back of the car)
3. Attached to a bolt underneath the engine cover
4. Attached to the alternator/jump bracket
5. Attached to a bolt at or near the throttle control

OK....cause I have the circle earth setup. I believe it has 4 points.

So they all connect to the main distributer that attache's to the negative side of the battery...is it still needed to ground to the body?

Otter;

What kind of gains did you get from this? I am doing this soon too (waiting for shipping). Was it worth the money?

Gains, nothing really. Some claim a bit more steady idle. I got it to ensure there were no bottlenecks in the car's ground when I installed the stereo system. If you're looking at a grounding kit for performance gains, use the money for something else.

in otter's install, he didn't replace the factory ground on the left, which is pretty small.. on my install, i replace all the factory pieces with the Hyper Ground ones

mine was also gunmetal sleeving and I ran it under everything, so you can't see it (my choice)

So do you actually remove the factory grounds too?? Is it just a case of re-grounding the everything that you can reach and removing the factory ones (the little black sheilded ones) then thats not a problem.

I had them include the kit as a purchase incentive. So, free

I imagine that Mitsu would charge too much to install the kit, just like they charge too much for the kit itself.

Yes, it's the real Hyper Ground wiring kit. That's why it costs so much =P

The real hyperground kit connects to the existing battery terminal and does not regire removal of any existing pieces. The real hyperground kit comes with detailed pictures for both the 2.0 and 2.4. If you do not have these return it. it is not the real thing. i have the real kit it did make a better idle, brighter lights, and clearer radio. Not much preformance wise. I just thought the lights were a little dim on the car(dash and headlights). i like the difference it made. I installed mine in about fiteen minutes and it should be all one wire that splits into a few different directions and rquires removal of the engine cover other than that it is really easy. any questions just ask.

otter, how come you don't run the wires underneath all those hoses? it would make for a cleaner install?
