2006 short shifter install

Just a heads up for the people that get the 06 ralliart. If you decide to go with the short shifter make sure you want the short shifter, becuase you have to cut the stock one to get the top bracket off. Mitsu put some extra sleeve on the shifter.

That's the same for the 04-05 ones. Many SS kits come with the piece, or you can buy it from your dealer for about $20.

Yea it's way too think to go through the effort of cutting it (though it is possible to do). But as Otter stated, most kits come with the piece.

I drive a Land Cruiser around a mine site and through the bush 9 days out of 14 so the stock short shifter in my RA feels plenty short for me!

I cut my stock one. All you need is a 22 tooth blade on a hack saw and something to hold it down.
