Dealer Intake Install

I guess this is not really a how to but rather a question of should do.
I resently ordered an injen CAI for my 05 ra and was wonding if it would be a good idea to have it installed at the dealership or if its cool if I put it in myself. The question is if I install it myself will there be any hastle from the dealership about it ?

just do it yourself. If the dealership you go to has half a brain or is cool...they should know an intake will not effect anything warranty wise.
...just my o2

It is too easy to not do yourself.....and you learn a little something about your car.
My dealership doesn't care at all....they don't have to mess with my air filter now.

if your scared about them giving you problems then just put back on your stock intake when you take in your car for service or reapir. they will not know the difference.

There is a specific law in the US that covers this. The aftermarket part has to be the cause of the problem in order for the car manufacturer to void your warranty.
So if there is a problem say with the clutch, they cannot void the warranty based on having an intake......since one has nothing to do with the other in a mechanical sense.

very true, this is called the magnusson-moss act. google it for some really dry but informative reading.
