Okay when taking off in 1st gear, it seems to be Very Sluggish until i hit about 3k rpms then it pick up speed, now i tried hearing form a vcuume leak, but its hard when u the one driving. Any way to check for a vacuume leak with out taking it into a shop, here in az, they tend to charge out the A$$ for things.

What are your mods?

If it's a vacuum leak, you should be able to locate it with the engine running while parked. I've never heard of a car having a vacuum leak only when driven. There aren't very many vacuum hoses on a Ralliart. There's a large one that goes to your brake booster, and a small one that goes to an evaporative emission purge solenoid. If you have a vacuum gauge, you can attach it to the nipple where the evap purge solenoid is attached (it's on the throttle body), and measure your vacuum at idle. You should have at least 18 in Hg at idle.

Try resetting the ECU, too. It might have a setting stored that's killing your low-end power.

Is this at every takeoff or just after you start the car? (cold start or all the time) I have a DIY CAI and at cold start it doesn't create any power until 2k rpm's or so until the third or fourth takeoff (less than a minute due to my neighborhood.) I ignore it because I know it's not a problem with the car. If you get an auto mechanics stethascope it is very easy to detect small air and vacuum leaks.

Sounds like a combination of having the AC on and high heat. The problem should go away in the fall.

With the SRI sounds like the sluggish issue could be heatbog or being heat soaked from the stop.

In addition to temperature-specific things (ie. A/C on, hot outside, etc.)....how long have you had your wheels? I don't know which model of R1's you have, but the 18" size may have added a couple of lbs.

IMO, in your "Coming up Soon" list, replace eyelids with the RRM UD pulley...after that, A/C no problem
