Here in PR the '05 models (in some dealers) come with a vinyl that says MIVEC in both sides at the end of each side skirt. Its not where that Si has the v-tec one, its at the bottom of the car, right in the side skirts.

 

I went to my local performance tuner shop and picked out a vinyl. It's only gonna cost 10dollars for a set that say's:

SOHC
MIVEC

or


MIVEC
RALLIART


but of course, its gonna looks similar to what ephatch sI has w/ lines going thru the vinyl and fading out letters. Im still thinking of putting SOHC in it or not, because people my mock it, I might put ralliart instead, but will see. Im getting it installed on saturday, cuz the guy who does it was busy today and wouldnt be back in till saturday. He picked out a spot for me (backseat door panel) and its gonna be 3 x 12 inches. My next thing is what color, im shooting for maybe a silver, but the guy told me go w/ white, so im trying to fiqure what looks best on the black RA. Will update w/ pics saturday.

 

I was thinking more of a grey to match the wheels.

Go with the MIVEC RALLIART one. It'd look cool if you have the ralliart part printed in full color.

yeah..that would look tight.. but just make the mivec logo a lil bigger.. u wouldnt like ur car lookin like theres ralliart logos all over.. just keep it clean.. otter's idea was nice.

 

I like decals if they are done tastefully, not just plastered all over. I don't mind people telling whats "inside", as long as it's done simple and clean.

A good example is the pic below... TEIN decal looks trick.

I don't like, however, people repeating the name of their car all over, especially the HUGE window banners! The worst offense is the Honda's "H" that I see covering and entire Civic's rear window... tasteless!!!

 

I dont mean to be rude or anything. I think it is a bad idea!! Making it to look like the Vtec vinyl off of 99-03 Si would look like you are trying to bite Hondas. It would lack originallity, get what I am saying? Try something different to where it would look stock. For example, where the Lancer emblem is have a vinyl sticker done up around the same size. Place it under the Lancer emblem. Something along the lines of "2.4 MiVec" or where the Es or Ralliart emblem is remove it "Ralliart Mivec" Something along those lines. Just my 1.09!!

 

I think a Mivec vynil would look ok... Hey! Hellacious, you know where a reliable graphics shop around here is located? I want to look into it.

 

Oh ****, another great idea... dam I only have till saturday folks. I really like the idea of 2.4L Mivec, thanks for the idea projectR#69, dam im gonna have a lil bit of everybody opinion in my vinyl, lol.

Also, I wont make it look bad... trust me, I hate decals and vinyls...BUT, i remember seeing a DOHC MIVEC vinyl on a JDM ralliart and it was nice, so that was my main reason, the sI vinyl was just a positioning reason.

Agreed. How many of you would laugh if you saw a Cavalier with "Ecotec" on the side of it?

I can take critisim *sp, but keep all the stupid and harsh comments aside. They havent been put on my car yet, but I just wanna know what people think (this is just a finished rough draft). The dimension are 16X3. It's in a silverish-grey color... don't let the pics fool you, its not that bright, that's because I used flash for a better pic. Also, I put 2.4L because SOHC would look like crap and funny. Anyways, im still open to idea's, this didnt cost me much @ all, but I like it, but I know there are better idea's out there. So what do you think?
