I have a diamond white RA (obviously) the body shop guy is coming to look at my car tomorrow. I'm goign to be throwing on an Accolade EVO 8 Complete Kit and Extreme Fenders.

I love blue cars with White decals.... I figured i'd go with House of Kolor colors.

Any suggestions on the color i should get my car painted? Like i said, i love metallic blue, but i'm being bit by the show bug when i think... Mmmm dark pearl blue with a Kameleon overcoat, making it a subtle teal. Give me some cool ideas and I may just use them.

To give an update. The car will be in the garage a good bit so i have plenty of time to add my additions as i've retained my beater car. Thanks!

 

I always have and always will want electron blue(SI blue). IMO, it just looks SICK. I cant get enough of it

I'm definitely all for a pearlescent deep blue, or something like a kameleon blue/black job.

i want to do the same to my rear panels, (NSX or MRS ducts) and just a tad bit darker blue.

 

blue ralliart would be awesome! please post pictures when you get it done. dont laugh but how about orange? redish orange or something around there? always like orange for some reason.

Orange was a fav. color of mine, especially seeing the Orange with Green decals (Fast and the Furious) but with as many 350Z's (6 within 25 miles 5 orange 1 silver) and the 2k3 and ^ cavvy's orange kinda got ruined. you drive an orange or canary yellow car now, you don't get noticed. But drive either like a neon Green or Metallic Blue with white decals... yea.

I also like the paint on this 240sx, i found. I'll look for a pic.... you'll see why I Like it.

He got a CF hood and it really looks gorgeous.

Look closely and see how the 3 coats of Kandy apple red brought the fiber weave.... hmm ... i smell a brainstorm.... cf trunk... cf hood.... 3 clear coats of Pearl blue... yumm

 

yes, LOVE candy apple red. I have that issue of IT, love that silvia. I am a sucker for any cf thats been painted, just looks sick to me

 

think it would look good with a pearly blue clear coat? I know red/black would make a better combo, but to agree with the rest of the car....?

Now that i'm pretty set on,

Carbon Pearl blue metallic, with a dark pearl black Kameleon Overcoat
White decals, and 3 stage clear coat blue on CF parts...

that will look NICE. Kameleon paint jobs aren't cheap, though, neither is the color change. I'm pulling this number out of my ***, but it'll probably run you in the $5,000 range, and I think that's being a bit conservative.

Let us know what it actually costs.

 

on my silvia the paint job(chameleon) ran 8k before clear coat. But that was EVRYTHING painted to match, you name it, it was painted to match. Piping, wheels spacers, the whole nine yards. Came to about 10k after 6 coats of cc and tax. I didnt paint though, my buddy(the previous owner) did so I got lucky

 

I wanted the blue that is offered on the base lancers but you can't get that on a ralliart, so that would be my first pick.
