carbon fiber work

I just had a though, if someone posted this already.

Seeing has how the evo hoods are the same as the 04-05 us lancers, what would be involved in getting an Evo carbon hood and having a shop trim te areas around te headlights? anyone here have any experience with carbon fiber fabrication and a cost if i were to take a hood to a shop and have them mod the corners?

This is a forum all about fiberglassing and carbon fiber work. Very detailed stuff.

As for the hood situation, its definetly not worth it. Your going to spend $400 + to buy the hood, then the amount of labour that is involved would easily cost another $500 if not more. Its not just a matter of triming around the headlights, there would be alot of work to get it to fit properly.

It's a different mold (shape) around the headlight's, even if you were able to trim it the hood still wouldnt fit the RA.
