How's the fit, by the way? Does it stick out too far or is it alright?

 

Actually, it didn't stick out far enough, had to put 4 washers behind the thing you screw to make it stick out more which was a pain cuz they keep dropping when you try to get the screw in.

 

Hmm.... but you mounted it with the surrounding.... thing, whatever it's called, hehe. Is it possible to mount it flush, so that it sits in there like the stock one did?

 

I mounted it with the stock brace from the sun & sound infinity deck. The way i did it is impossible to mount it flush like the stock one because there is a plastic thing that goes around the deck as you can see in the pic sort of like a border. This border will not fit inside the hole that the deck is in which means its gotta stay outside which is why i needed to put 4 washers behind the brace because it didn't stick out enough for the border to fit.

edit: You need to mount with the surrounding/border or you will see gaps in he deck as the deck itself is not as tall as the stock deck

Edit: where did you get it, btw? I asked one place, and they said they don't have the new Alpines yet. And how much did it cost, if you don't mind me asking (including wiring harness/etc).

Edit of an edit: Hehe I just had to ask... does the red/amber lighting match the stock red speedo lighting well? Any problems/issues overall so far?

 

I forgot what the store was called, and my receipt is at home. I'll pm you the costs and store location when i get home from work. I use the red lighting myself cuz I think it matches the seedo light hehe. I have no problems yet, gonna be installing my new sub and amp this weekend probably if i can get my alarm done in time, hopefully there are no problems with those and the deck.
