RE: Quick opinion on rims

I'm looking at getting a set of rims (Ro_ja 17" LT-5 in Hyper black) used. I've been offered them at a very good price. But I'm concerned that b/c my car is black and the rims are a flat black that it will look like ***. Any suggestions or opinions on this set up would be appreciated. Thanks guys,

Mark

Flat black on a black car is a look I've always liked...
FLAT BLACK though, gloss black I don't think looks that good... I think it'd look fine, but it's on you... You gotta drive it... Look through the Black SS picutre thread & see if anyone's sporting flat black rims & see if you can get an idea!

If it's a really good price, you could always buy them and re-sell, if you don't mind the hassle, and then use the money to get what you want.

Personally I've rarely seen black rims that look fitting. I can only properly imagine it looking good if the rim has flat spokes, kind of like the Corvette style (not exactly the same, but you get the idea). But honestly, as has been said 100 times, it's your car, so if you like it, do it. If you're having doubts, then there are probably better things out there for you.

I'd suggest don't settle just because it's a good price... In all honesty you don't want to settle... because you'll end up always looking at that thinking "I could've got something else so much nicer..."
So if anything just save the money for the rims you really want... Unless these are them...
I'm just trying to tell you not to settle!!!

I just got my LT5's in last night. I got the gunmetal for my thunder gray. color match is about perfect. I think hypeblack on black looks great (better than flatblack on black). The LT5 is a great wheel (super light!) and looks badass. I would get them if the price is right. They retail over $1k. I got mine new in box less than 1/2 price =)

If you do go with black wheels you try to black out as much as possible windows, taillights everything you can then it will look stealthy

Love the rims . The color match is perfect. Let us know what tires you get. I'm hoping to get some rims this summer too. BTW thanks for the tip on the muffler. I got the MeganRacing N1 muffler, suppose to arrive early next week.
