I think his front spliter's hardware may make it difficult to mount it over there though... but yeah, it looks better down there.

Still, I feel sorry for you guys having to screw this to the front of your cars!

Just take off the plate and keep it in the trunk. Then if you get pulled over, say it's in the trunk because your car just got back from the shop and you were going to put it on when you got home.

The worst s/he could do is give you a fix-it ticket which would cost you $10, and you now get 30 days to "fix it". So now you drive to a police station, have it wrote off, then when you get home, take the plate off again.

Let's say maybe you get 3 fix-its a year... that's only $30 for a better looking front end!!!

or just keep it somewhere in the car along with some screws in the glove box, explain that your screws fell off and you just finished buying some new ones and were on your way home to put it on

its worked for me about 2 times

I like the splitters in the front there. Makes it look more aggressive. I can't wait to see pics of your car in Spring of 2006!!

There was a guy I knew in Chicago that flipped his front plate around backwards and upside-down, screwed it on, and then folded the top and bottom under so it looked like a european plate. It still showed the plate number, but took up less than half the space of the unbent plate. I'm still wondering about the legalities of that. If I get pulled over for having no front plate, I'll probably ask.

Yeah, at least they should let you guys have the choice between a full plate or a narrower plate in the front...

It's about the best you can do for sure... besides maybe installing only the plate without the holder. Did you ever try that? Or maybe it's too flimsy, I don't know, never been faced with the problem.

Question

-

I was curious about that too. And also I thought our bumpers' re-bar was full (as opposed to the EVO's re-bar)... did you have to cut through it?

Just cut them out with a Jig saw, with a fine tooth blade for less mess and not too long so i didn't the re-bar while cutting
