New Wheelsish!

So I ended up getting my wheels done too...few layers of black, then pearl in the first layer of clear, then more cler on thoop of it. I'm stunned with how amazing the results are...please forgive the crappy pics, an actual photoshoot with them is to come, for sure. I went against the red lip because it would of made the wheels look smaller then they are.

Nice... did you paint them or a shop? I'm going to assume a gun was used?

I didn't paint them myself...if anything looks ghetto, it's a bad paint job, and on wheels especially....the last thing I'd want. T'was a few coats of paint, few coats of clear, and they also put chrome valve stems in, which was a nice touch, and they match my nuts (heh) more. Just need to drop the car and install my splitter whenever it shows up and I'm done for exterior for awhile. The black actually makes the rims appear BIGGER when you see hem in person!

Dude, what happen to the polished lip? That would have looked good on your car.

That is exactly what I want to do this winter when I put on my winter tires (so my stock wheels will be off the car)

I totally agree. When I was cleanin mine I was like wow, they look bigger. Are they the ones I sent them or is someone playin a trick on me.

It didn't seem that long before you got yours back. Mine took forever but wait is good.

Looks good. Goes really well with the painted calipers. Really brings it out.

I mentioned in my other thread, a polished (or any lip) makes the overall rim size appear 1-2" smaller then it is, due to it looking 'contained' - also, a polished lip on our wheels not only will corrode somewhat quickly, but the edge of the paint will be easy o damage, how crap get under, etc.

Yeah, I was shocked - they had it back next day...the shop owner was a bit shocked too, lol, he said 'don't expect turn-arounds that quickly all the time'. As for the wheel size 'increase', I think the fact that when the wheels are clean and shiny, it isn't so easy to tell where rim ends and wheel begins...I can honestly say this was a great alternative to actual aftermarket wheels.
