Indash TV plays sound but no video???
A buddy of mine is in need of some money, so he is selling me a Kenwood KVT-715 indash 7in monitor..Getting a great deal, I saw it on Crutchfield for i think 1899.00...Im only paying 500 and its 2 months old. Am I still gonna need that soundgate adapter, and where is the cheapest place to get it? Also, How do I remove the stock headunit? Do I just pop that grey surrounding peace off and that exposes everything I need to get it out? Any help would be great...

/\/\ Do you have the S&S? If so, then yes, you should use it. If no S&S, you should get the adapter kit for your aplication.... you can get it at any stereo shop. It will save huge on wire cutting.

So I got the indash hooked up and everything..Everything works and is running properly except that the dvd hook up plays sound but there is no picture? Now I have grounded the wires to the chasis not to the ebrake. Can anyone help me out or give me and ideas of what might be the problem?

Was it working in your buddy's ride? you should test it on e-brake to see if it works properly there.... if it doesnt you know its not a grounding problem. Its a problem with the unit.

first off is your dvd working when the car is parked and the ebrake is on... if it is the safety feature is enabled so that you cannot watch while driving. to fix this there is a wire that needs to be grounded to the body. i have a different brand but its one of the wires that has to be connected to the shifter or ebrake... i just grounded that wire so that it bypasses it. I don't know if that is much help to you but that's my 2 cents that i can give you. i hope it helps
