What The Ralliart Needs
What The Ralliart Needs
..bloody front fenders so the wheel gap is at least equal, if not lower, then the back. Saves those who don't want to drop their car and still look really nice.
Then I realized it wouldn't match the front clip. Should be a set - front kit and fenders.

do you know WHY it's like that?
if not, you should really figure that out BEFORE you diss the design
the front needs to be that high so that your wheels can ACTUALLY turn..

Do you realize how high it is?
If not you should really figure that out BEFORE you "diss" someone for using their head for once.
My car is lowered on Tein's (1.5" in the front) I'm riding a set of 17x7 Tenzo Passion 5's and guess what.... my wheel can ACTUALLY turn.
What why you give him **** for thinking of something else? Perhaps lower fenders is not the best idea, but why would you put him down like he's a retarded child?

the wheel gap from the top of the wheel to the fender could be reduced with no probs. i think sillypuddy was talking about the side gaps (side of the wheels to front/back of wheel well). the side gaps should be larger on the wheels that turn. on the top, u only need enuf space to let the suspension travel to its to peak. im sure thats why our gaps are so big. cause our suspension has a long travel. but if ur never gonna max it, u could get away with reducing this. but then again, you could also reduce the side gaps if you dont plan on turning, but i dont think thats a good idea

I personnaly think that 1.5" lower front fenders would really be a nice improvement to the overall look of the car. It has always bugged me that the gap is so big in the front...
And I can't see why it would rub with the stock wheels unless you took a turn and maxed out the suspension... which is a thing you would do while knowing too well that you put lower fenders on.

if you take a turn at speed, while braking, you will see that the front end of the car dips and you almost bottom out the "inside" wheel, if you were lowered, or the fenders are cut higher, you will be on the verge of rubbing
i don't go around dissing people unless i have done it and know wtf is going on..
if you want to try this, go 404 north to major mac, take the off ramp at 120 km/h all the way through the S curve, tap the brakes down to 80 km/h to go into the right hand turn at the lights, and tell me you don't almost bottom out your front passenger wheel
btw.. i take this way home EVERYDAY and I have steadly increase the speed on this ramp over 2 years.. so take it easy if you really going to try it..

those who know me personally (as in real life) know that i am a straight shooter.. i am not going to suger coat everything i say just so that i am nice to everybody
all i am telling you is what happens in my car when i take the ramp at speed, your results might vary
i am rolling on Falken RT615s and my Toyo RA1 are on order.. i do drive my car pretty hard in the turns

What about autoX? I see alot of guys doing this with thier RA's, lowered. Any of them have rubbing prob's? I am just curious. It would seem to me that doing an autoX would cause the front to dip and dive the most, not an off ramp.

The way I see it is that if someone has droped there car it would have stiffer springs/shocks so it would be able to take the turns faster and harder without rubbing. So what im getting from him is that on stock setup its not good to be lower in the front.

With a stiffer suspension this problem wouldn't exist.
