would it look kinda ricey for me to put on cf eyelids on an almost all stock looking car?
maybe i should just get the unpainted ones and order spray paint from paintscratch.com, then paint them myself?

Exclamation

I had a pair of FB accolade eyelids. They were given to me by mitsubishimanny. They were painted silver, so I had to sand them and paint the black. The stuck on like a charm. My only concern was the shape/fit was off on the left eyelid, but I try to make it look un-noticable. I had them on for about 3-4months. I lost the right eyelid on the freeway with an encouter of a mustang GT at access speeds. It just so happen that day was the RRM meet, so I pick me up a pair.

I paid $44 dollars for them and they came in black FB. I had a headache of a problem putting them on. I put them on at the meet, but on my way home... the right eyelid was flapping halfway off. So I rode home with it off. Got home, re-tape it on again and it stay on for 2days, than came off. 3rd try, Re-tape it on again... stay on for 1 day, and then i lost it again on the side of the road. I had to play dodge traffic to get it, . I remember robb told me if it doesnt stick, sand it down and clean it w/ alcohol. So the 4th time was a charm, and they've stuck on w/ no prob and they fit/shape better than accolades.

IMO, can't go wrong with either one. It was a trade off. Accolades stuck on easy, but was a bit off in fit/shape. RRM was shape/fit better, but was a hassle to stick on the headlight.

Thanx for all the input guys.

I've decided eyelids are not for me... they look AWESOME in pix, but in the real world, not so much (at least to me) so I've decided on new grills instead.

mesh grill is so easy to DIY tho.... i made mine outta $2 gutter mesh from home depot. Of course u need to have dremel tools (which i dont have) to cut the old grill to get the OEM effect. but I just took out the old grills and super glued the mesh from the inside of the bumper, so theres no grill but only mesh

I had the same issue when I ordered mine from Accolade but it was the right eyelid. I tried to make it un-noticable, but after putting them on, I actually wasn't feeling the eyelids, so I said screw it. But yah, kinda sucked that it was a bit off, almost looked as if it was cut too short.

BTW guys, there's another choice for eyelids on the RA. Carbon by Design sells eyelids as well... and I think it's the best design of them all. The upper edge rolls over the top of the headlight... it looks much cleaner than the Accolade or RRM product. They are also the most expensive of the three (93$!)... but you get what you pay for.

Here's the link: http://www.carbonbydesign.com/prodde...ancercfeyelids

They also sell fiberglass eyelids (same mold than CF) for 60$...
