Component Install

I tried finding info on installs for components and couldn't come up with anything. I'm ready to throw these diamond audio d661s in the front but was wondering about the crossover placements in the door and what everyone has been doing with theirs.

I'm pretty sure that you can put the crossover under the dash or something like that it will take a little more wire but it would be much easier since there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of extra room in the doors...

There are plenty of hiding spaces for the crossovers. I don't remember where I put mine, but I didn't have a hard time finding a spot.

Thanks.. I was just curious before I started the install, I wanted to do it but only had acouple hours or so before I went on a trip. I got some speaker adapters from a post here that don't fit so I have more time to figure everything out.

From what I understand, it is best to have the whole setup as close to each other as possible, if you one of these too far or with a long wire than it will sound out of sync.

Just make sure that the wires going from the crossover to the sub/tweeter are equal length (measure them before installing). Same goes for the wire that goes from the amp to the two crossovers.

I've often seen the crossover box siliconed to the bottom front corner, inside the door. Under the speaker. Just make sure the window doesn't hit it wherever you put it, and it'll be fine.
