9007 is our headlight bulb, H3 is our fog light bulb. For a good quality bulb, i highly suggest MTEC. You can get hyper whites made by mtec off of ebay for twenty bucks and blue mtecs for forty bucks. A place that sells a lot of bulbs is www.matrixracing.com

hte problem with aftermarket bulbs, is that the power draw is usually more, and can cause more harm in the long run, ie: replacing harnesses or whatever, but its your choice...

I was actually poking fun at BlkRalliart04, since he likes to drop into threads like this, say it was covered in the N00b thread, and close it. Instead, he actually posted up the information you were looking for.

Although you are right, most of todays bulbs are designed not to out run what the cars normal wattage is. Years ago people put 120 watt bulbs into 55 watt wiring.....that will cause some melting.

Funny, I've been running Silverstars for probably a year now, no problems.

Nokya is exactly what I was talking about they are 80/100 watt. I guess there are still some companies out there selling them, harness is expensive if you melt it too.

HID is great, just I've always wondered if the stock headlamps are capable. Most cars I see with HID kits are way to bright and pretty much blind everyone. Not too mention extra reason for cops to pull you over....other than that it's better than playing with bulbs

Wise ***

I talked to him on the phone awhile back and he was cool so I cut him some slack. lol Nokya's suck, they are higher wattage if i remember correctly. I was running the purple nokyas in my old eclipse projectors and they sucked. They didnt melt any harnesses or anything, but they would get hot as hell.
