Amp toggle

So i decided to install a toggle switch for my amp...

I originally had my amp wired to my stock HU and the place wired it really ghetto so I went to a friend up in Renton and we straightened everything out for the most part when we installed my new HU... at that time i didn't have subs... well recently i decided to just put back in one of my 10's and when i hooked up the amp... nothing worked... well i jumped the power over to the remote wire and found out that somehow my remote is toast or cut somewhere... decided to run a new wire... this way if my sub gets too loud and the g/f is *****ing.. I can just cut it off without having to kill the music too..

Also if i ever decide to take it out... where i drilled the hole isn't in the middle of my dash or where someone can point it out from a mile away...

here are some pics..

nice clean, kinda hidden away.. can't even see it unless you get down to look at it..

How old are you, 12? Someday you might realize that the world doesn't revolve around your desires. With an attitude like that, you may be faced with a choice pretty soon: your loud bass, or her company. Make every car ride she goes for with you a misery for her, and she will find a way to make your life miserable in return.

A toggle switch is much cheaper to buy and easier to install than a bass controller, too. But hey, whatever floats your boat.

I have a graphic EQ with base control in the glove box. I have three options, on, off, and turned up or down. ok, maybe thats four options, but you get the idea.

maybe its me but i don't want to be constantly adjusting my settings all the freaking time while I am trying to drive...lol

the toggle switch cost me a whole $3 and 10 minutes to install...

It actually doesnt stick out as far as it did in my 02... because the piece that snaps around the deck doesn't fit..it doesn't stick out far enough... when i take off the face its almost flush...

Your headunit doesnt have where you can turn your subs off? I hope your switch is hooked up to the remote wire still instead of a constant. If you forget bye bye battery

yeah it is one side of the wire is connected to the remote and the other side is connected to the power... it made it through the night... so im pretty sure im good there... I made sure i played with it a little while ... car on/ off toggling the switch to make sure the amp turns off and on at my will...

and yeah it has the option to turn the subs on and off but... still that doesn't shut off the amp.. and seeing how my original remote wire is fried... i don't want to go get in the trunk or open up the backseat everytime i stop somewhere easier to flip a switch and go...
