What do you think?

Well, I got a little bored today and decided to do a little cleaning. I just put my DIY grills on this week. I'm going to be ordering some black Mitsu badge overlays here really soon. I think it would look pretty good with black overlays instead of red. Sorry the pics are so small. I can't get them any bigger on this site.

Lookin' good I love the rims. Btw what kind of material did you use for the grills and what did you use to attach it to the plastic frame?

If you look at the closeups, you can see tiny specs of light poking out. Maybe tightly-knit black plastic? That's what I'm wondering though.

The material I used is the masonary mesh that you can pick up from home depot. You get an 8 ft by 2 ft sheet of that stuff for $8. It's a lot more firm than the gutter mesh so it's a little harder to work with but it will hold up to almost anything. I attached it to the frame using 2 part epoxy. I bent it around the lip on the backside of the frame and shot it with some epoxy. The lower mesh is just held on by the stock black plastic piece that is screwed to the inside of the bumper. Kind of a fun project and well worth it.

No, it's got chrome mesh in there. It's kind of hard to see with the lighting. I'll try to make it bigger though.

I agree and that is on my to do list. I would really like a full CF lip kit for it though so that it wouldn't be just the front lip. No body seems interested in making one though.

My tint on the back door windows and rear window are 5% and the front windows are 20%. Basically the law in CO is if a cop can see through it when they shine a flashlight at it then it's ok. About 99% of cops don't care though and if they did they would just make you scrape of the front windows and not give you a ticket. They are pretty relaxed here about that stuff. I have friends that have been running around for 7 years with 5% all the way around and haven't had any trouble with them.

No problem with the grill info. I couldn't find anybody who said how they stuck it on either so I just did it how I thought it would work. Just don't make it too thick on the back lip of the frame because you will have problems pushing it back on to the bumber.

Well yours is too low and your rims are too big. You ever think about it like that? Or did you ever even think at all?

Yeah thanks for your input.

Yeah, I agree with both. I do have my drop springs but I think I'm going to hold off on putting them on and just opt for a set of teins. These are also just my winter wheels and my 17's will be put on this spring. Other than that I think I've done pretty well on it for not even having it for a year yet. Funds to play on my car are limited and I do what I can do. Thanks for the comment though and those are near future changes.
