Cleaning my engine bay?

All the highway driving I've been doing as filthy'd up my engine bay and I wanna clean it. Can I just grab a can of degreaser and spray it down (covering the intake and electricals) Is there a better way? Suggestions?

No need to cover the electronic stuff, just don't spray it. You can even just wash it like you do the rest of the car: soap and water. It's alright to spray water in the engine bay, just don't directly spray any electronics or the alternator.

If you'd rather avoid using water, just any strong cleaner and a lot of rags (those blue Scott's shop towels are good for this) will do the trick.
