Vortex Generator weatherstripping clips

ok, so im gonna be ordering one from Derek888, but tongiht i went out and attempted to remove the weatherstripping, why did mitsu have to use different styles of clips for everything on the car?! anyone who's done the install have any advice on getting the clips out?
the white ones ive figured out to be really easy by just sliding in a pen knife and uncliping it from the windshield, but the tiny brown ones are hell, you need to lift the catch and slide the clip on its track it looks like, its really easy down by the trunk but as you get closer to the roof it gets harder with much less room to work. anyone have any advice on these little gems?

also anyone who's installed it, did you have to remove both sides, or can you undo one side, and angleslide it into place?
