Help removing stickers

Anyone have any good advice for getting stickers off? Particularly the vinyll type
It sounded like a good idea at the time, but the big 'RALLI//////ART' I have on my sideskirts are really bugging me now and its a pain in the *** to get them off.
So any tips like tools or products or anythng would be appreciated.

I had a lot of success getting them off glass before with a really fine razor blade, but I think that would just cut/scrape the skirts/paint.

I would put the car in the sun to preheat and then use a hair dryer to heat and soften the sticker and patiently remove. Use and credit card and finger nail to remove, the longer the sticker has been on the harder to get off. Goo off will soften the paint dont use.

I used a hair dryer and dental floss to remove the my dealership stickers, which I suppose is the same deal for your case.

Well its a nice sunny morning here in West Oz, so I didn't need the hair dryer- but the credit card worked a treat, better than a fingernail as I could start to peal the entire top of a letter etc. with the even, hard, flat edge (cheers for that Gary C)
Metho on an old sock for the residue had it clean in seconds, all done!

Thanks for the advice from all,

I had stickers on my window and used rubbing alchohal to get those off, don't know if that will hurt your paint though.

The goo gone is a little scary, it softened the paint on my Dodge Truck, if you have some glue residue wd40 works well but might take a longer and is safer...

Peel them of with your finger nails. Then buy the 3M automotive paint adhesive remover. Available at walmart for about $3.99. It works great.
