I've never known anyone to bother washing their car while there's still snow/slush/salt/winter crap on the roads.

Washed mine today (I do every other week when I'm home from the mine) its my drug, going down the road to the carwash chills me out.

Am I the only one who thinks tire shine products are more trouble than they're worth? Pain to apply without getting some on the rim, doesn't last very long, and get the slightest bit on the edge of your tread and it can seriously hurt your cornering traction.

It rubs because you're running a tire that's nearly an inch larger in diameter than you're supposed to run, as well as pushing the maximum width our fenders can handle. A 225/45 tire will rub less, 215/45 or 50 won't rub at all with the right offset.

Use the Turtle Wax tire Gel... goes on with a sponge and is quite easy to avoid getting it on your rim. It also lasts longer than the sprays.
