Universal black will look like crap if you're just doing touch-up. The headlights are basically hyper black, like a black chrome. Tint spray might work, but do a good taping job so you only spray the part you want to touch up, hopefully it won't be noticable.

I would be more worried about getting them headlights back together afterwards than what shade of black to use.
Then again, I've never baked any lights before

its very easy to open and reclose the headlights, but If HE want to touch up the stock RA (dont think so) , i think he had chrome and want to paint them black, if is that, just paint them FLAT black, flat black its very easy to paint with, and very hard to mess the paint, gloss black is a little more dificult

IMHO just buy a set of new or used oem headlights with the black housing because it may be easy to DIU but if you could end up with a few headaches from resulting issues like not having them closed back up right and youd get precipitation in there or they may not come out looking the way you want...ive learned the hard way that if your going to do something, spend the extra cash to make sure its done right or dont do it at all because if you go cheap or half a$$ your gonna pay more in the long run...
