best bet is to do a retro fit (preferably 2005 tsx projectors w/ clear lense w/ stock tsx bulbs) you get great output. it's also safer because you are not blinding other drivers around you. i had the 3000k w/o projectors and my god i couldn't see anything at night. just my .02 hope it helps

I'm running a 12k kit, and honestly with the stock housing they're bright as CRAP! I mean, they're by far brighter than even the expensive halogen bulb...and I've got the yellow fogs, here's a pic!

I have the Kaixen 4000K kit on my car. The light is crystal white with a hint of yellow in it. You can only tell that there's a hint of yellow in it when it reflect off something. If you look at it head on, it look clear with hint of turquoiseish in it.

But I'm thinking about selling the kit.

if you want to get HID, do it right, instead of having glares on the oncoming traffic, just do a retro fit. i've had HID since 04 in stock housing, and blind the **** outta people. just like you get blind by others with a kit. just do it right, get retrofitted and you will be happy with every penny you spent. i am on my 2nd set of HID retro since i sold my first one a while back. and still loving it. www.hidplanet.com is your friend.
btw, since you want to be different, maybe this is the route for you.

4300k is the best, that is what they use in Lexus and BMW's, But if you don't have projectors, go 6k-8k or you will blind everyone..

I have a question about that, do you mean like the light output was horrible or what? Cause right now i have yellow bulbs and yellow film on my head lights and the light output is horrible. Like i have to drive around with my high beams all the time. I thought that 3000k would fix that so maybe i shouldnt do it. To the OP sorry for hijacking the thread a little
