hid runs off a ballast. ballasts basically convert low power and make it high power, so yes you need the whole kit. which i will pm you the best deal ive gotten so far on the ralliarts for hids or i can pm you a guy that sells you kits here on this site. and based on the headlights you have, hids directly hook up to your headlights, BUT your headlights arent TRUE projectors. you still will have headlights that shine everywhere. HOWD I DO????

i highly suggest you dont, the higher K you go, the worse you can see at night. you should really take the time to read up on this stuff before you just go buying things.

your stock headlights are yellow arent they? your probably thinking like fog light yellow which is 3000k

and just so your aware, HIDs are illegal in general.

they arent factory, thus they are illegal.

well, lets say i decide to just replace the bulb with like a sylvania silverstar or something like that, how well will those hold up, cause i wanna make my headlights brighter at night, cause right now there about as bright as stock hologens

you cant compare HID and regular headlights, they are just on different levels of technology. but silverstar is the best you can do if you dont want to upgrade

i know you cant compare HID to hologen, but i mean HIDs are omega expensive and ive heard alot of good things about those silverstars, but i might convert, i might not, i guess its just one of those "if i have the money" kind of things hahaha...cause i still have many more plans for my car (as im sure you all do)

you just gotta look for the right people. theres a guy on here that sells them for 180. or you can try to get a group buy like i did, and paid 120 per set. gotta try harder then begging.
