sorry for the late reply, but yeahh the bulb was put in exactly as the stock bulb was supposed to be put in. The headlights I got arent the RRM ones etiehr, they were those CCFL halo things you see on ebay, made in Taiwan. So I guess it's got a reputation to overcome to some degree. The projectors aren't the greatest with the HIDs, but it definitely beats not having projectors and wildly blinding everyone in my opinion. There's a decent cutoff, and I think the parking light's shifted to the inner side of the housings.

As for fires, well...I guess fualty wiring or short-circuiting due to moisture getting in could be a concern. The wiring didn't look that bad when I looked over everything, but at least from my experience, nothing's melted yet.

Momak my question was did you put spacers or something of the sort to align the xenon's small inner bulb to where the stock filament would be? or did you just place the HID light without any modification?

ohhh, nonono no spacers. I just placed it in without any mods. Thing is, the new bulbs H7 I think work with some wire clips that snap on, so I dont know if you can really buy yourself much space unless you mess around with some of the other parts as well.

Well I was kind of basing it off the idea from this website that another member posted about earlier

http://www.geocities.com/jvxdriver/h...conversion.htm

I was thinking maybe to put spacer in there and tie it down with wire like what was done in the how-to in order to get them aligned for max light output

To be honest that's actually not a bad idea. Given if you've got the time to tinker with it. It might very well be worth the effort.

NOTE: those projectors are the ones from eBay... not the ones from RRM just in case anyone may have mistaken.

I based my install off the how to remove the bumper in the lancer forum. I must say taking off the bumper was probably the hardest part.

You have to remove the bumper in order to take the headlight housings out. It is SOOOO much easier to work with HIDs and plugging in all the wires with them out because there's just not enough room to see or even work with all the wires. BTW... there are hardly any places to mount ballasts....

lol Raikiri's right about the bumper for sure. You gotta remove it. With the bumper in the way, you'll barely get your hand anywhere behind the headlights if you're lucky. Mounting the ballasts become even more annoying, especially on the right side where the space is all curved and pretty dang close to the timing belt with all those wires. Left side, well, you gotta honestly use your imagination.

Oh and that inner bulb of the headlights, I tried replacing it with hyper white LEDs. It looks pretty nice, dont know if that's another idea for ya haha.

I really wanted to do that too with the LEDs... Where did you get them from? Was it really hard to do the wiring?
