Ok I got to thinking today, because I have a carbon fiber hood and a yellow car I don't think the eyelids would look right so if someone has a yellow RA with a carbon fiber hood with eyelids could you post it up to help me out!

Just get carbon fibre eyelids and only paint half of them

 

That is what I was thinking of doing but I didnt know if it would look right. I was wondering how far they came down.

 

I saved some pics on my laptop of one, too bad laptops in the shop, but search for 04-05 yellow RAs in the registry, that's where I found it

All I found were these ones. I dont think that looks good in my opinion, I think it would have to be split like suggested above to get the right look.

 

Let me check on this As we do have a customer with our eyelids with that setup but he painted his CF hood partially the color of his car.

here is a pic of my car, with half colored eyelids sooo you do get the idea, i will see if i cant hunt up some more pics from the front, im deployed to IRAQ sooo got my laptop ect and got pics some where ither on here or exsternal drive. Those are the fiber glass ones, i took a airbrush and painted the eyelids with some paint i had made up to match my car and also black paint, up close you cant tell there not carbon, but if i ever do back to eye lids i will get the carbon ones and paint them half silver, looks good but you can still tell there eyelids from the front no matter what you do with the gap between the eyelids and hood.

LOL I do have them, just had to modify them, they where the last set of VER 1 sides from RRM, someone screwed them up then sent them back sooo i am having to modify them slightly to make it look right. that is a work in progress, but my main concern is my engine now. I dont have those headlights on there anymore, and wont be puting eyelids back on my car. OOOO and I did those with a airbrush and some blue panters tape, took me about 3 hours with clear coat, and time for teh paint to dry and numerous coats of paint. IF you wanted to have someone photo shop my car to yellow and leave the hood and part of the eyelids black and see what it would look like, those are RRM's eyelids to.
