Are you talking about accolade's Evo IX conversion kit or RRM's Evo IX style kit?

Im pretty sure the RRM evo 9 style bumper keeps the safety bar just from the pic's I have seen, it looks like it sticks out far enough. It looks like it's really wide though on the sides ,I wasn't sure about the Accolade one.

From what I have heard you have to do some "modifications" to the safety bar. Whether that means grinding it or removing it completely I don't know, but from the looks of it I'd imagine you would have to remove it. I don't see the problem in doing that though since it will only protect you from a 5mph crash and no more. If you're turbo like me you'll have to get it removed anyway.

I been looking at the e9 kit RRM sells and it looks sick.

So you have the RRM turbo kit?Does it needs the safety bar removed anyways for the the IC?Or is that your own custom set up?Either way I would like to get the RRM turbo kit for my car, so if the rebar needs to be removed anyways,it would be good to know for future so I wouldn't have to try a few different front bumpers to keep the safety bar or (rebar),just to take it out for the IC.

Just remove it for the sake of weight reduction and the fact that it won't really protect you from anything major. Yes I have the RRM kit and yes mine was removed to fit the intercooler. Did it have to be removed?, I'm not sure, but from the looks of it I think it's mandatory.
