Feed back requested! Tinted tails!
the tint looks flat to me so i was just saying what i did to make them look like glass. i am getting redye to spray tint some eye lids on my head lights. then maybe they just looked flat because my car is black.
i used spray tint. this is a step by step proses of what i did.
1. remove the tail lights. it is ezyer the taping the car off.
2. wet sand the lights with 600 grit sand paper.
3. wet sand with 800grit paper.
4. clean the light with pre-paint. you don't want any dirt or grees on the light when you paint it.
5. spray with tint. long even cotes. fallow the derisions one the can to a t, time is very important.
6. let dry for 1 hour and then wipe with tack cloth.
7. spray with clear cote. i used a lot of clear cote
8. once it dry's you can reinstall the tails.
9. allow paint to set for 1 week. very important
10. tape off around the lights
11. wet sand with 1600grit paper. take your time the more you do hear the more of a result you will get.
12. clean with sop and water
13. hit the light with rubbing compound
14. wax and then you are finished and the light will look like the tinting was factory.
i am experimenting with a acrylic scratch remover to see it it makes it look even better.
i am getting ready to do eye lids on the front with spray tint i will keep you all posted.
