Yea I wasn't having any luck in the usual places either... Ill probably order them on my next payday. Suppose to have a bonus coming soon. Whatever I have left after catching up on a few things, will be dumped into turbo stuff.

I finally got my turbo!

Also went and switched to a 5 speed as well!

Except.... None of that is on the RA...

First mod was the RA logo though! :3

So. It is a 2006 Evo IX. Has 101,xxx miles on it. I picked it up down in Knoxville, TN. So far it has been an awesome machine! The downsides to it were that it needs the tune cleaned up, it has no AC, and most of the stereo was removed by the first owner. I am currently the 3rd owner.
It came with:
Volk GT-V 18" wheels
new rotors and pads
Tein lowering springs
Solid shifter cable end bushings
3" AMS intercooler
aftermarket Intercooler piping
DNP exhaust manifold
Megan racing O2 housing
HKS turbo-back exhaust with test pipe
AMS fuel rail
PTE injectors
HKS manual boost controller
HKS blow off valve
Turbo Timer
Debadged
Paint matched Carbon Fiber Hood
Dual A-pillar Gauge pod
Boost Gauge
EGT Gauge (disconnected)
So far I have added:
Ralliart Badge
Heat reflective tape (got rid of exhaust wrap that was on the rad hose...)
Shorter serp belt (AC's pulley started going bad)
relocated the turbo timer
Amber Side Markers
Short shifter (with replacement boot)
Shifter Assembly solid bushings
Heavy Weighted shift knob
15mm wheel spacers to the front wheels (rears need the inner lip rolled before I space them out)
And I have pulled the ROM and sent it off for some cleanup
My initial review. I absolutely love it. The car pulls so hard and just keeps pulling. I kind of wish it had a 6th gear for highway cruising, but i still dont see the 5 speed as a downside. The sound of the turbo, the blow off valve, and the exhaust was music to my soul. But once I hit some curves I quickly learned that; to my own surprise, my RA takes corners MUCH more flatly than the Evo does! I never would have expected this but there was no doubting it. Turns I would take flat at 70-80mph in the RA, would greet me with a generous helping of body roll at 60mph...
So my goal is pretty clear now. The car is obviously faster in a straight line, so I need to focus on the handling. I think once I transfer over a few things from my RAs, get a new rear sway bar, and some stickier tires I'll be able to hit those curves the way I want. Other than that my main priority is to simply clean up the car (stereo, AC, maintenance, reliability mods) and enjoy the hell out of it until I can pay it off.
On a very sad note. Once I finish picking off the parts I want from the RA, I plan to clean it up and sell it off. I also have a TON of parts I will be selling that I had planned to go onto the RA that I will no longer need. Just to name a few: wilwood big brake kit, LSD, lightweight flywheel and clutch, manual transmission including shifter cables, a cylinder head, intake manifolds, full exhaust, gauge pods, seats, interior panels and pieces, headlights, taillights, factory wheels with tires, all sorts of stuff. So keep your eyes out for that if your interested.
Thanks for checking this out, and click the little instagram link under my avatar for more pics and a couple of vids of the car. Im sad to let the RA go, but Im really excited about seeing what I'll be capable of doing and creating with the Evo!
Future Mods:
Cusco Power Brace
Bumper Quick Release
Rear Strut Bar
Polk/Infinity Stereo system
Gauges (AFR, Boost, Oil Pressure)
Fender Roll
15mm spacers on rear
Speed Density Tune
JDM Rear Bumper
Rexpeed Type-C Spoiler
Harness Bar

+1..
I have to say the car sounds and looks great...
now we just need to finish that trade of that evo for my jetta u were talking about...
lol jk
its funny tho, my wife is more jealous of your evo for me than I am...(don't tell her)
after all the work and time u put into the RA u deserve the upgrade...
however I forsee u missing the RA down the line(like me... however you upgraded, where i kinda just let it go then came back as somewhat of a sidestep)...but im sure once you floor it taking off like a bat out of hell, and when you shift and that blow off valve makes your ears bleed(it's LOUD...) you'll forget all about the RA for the next few hours...and get a smile from ear to ear
congrats man...

Thanks guys I appreciate it!
@nekkidlad - I still feel like Id be screwing you over with that trade... ;P LOL Yea I was afraid I would miss the RA too. But It is virtually the same chassis, except everything I ever wanted to do to the RA is already there minus the 2.4l block (which will be in the works once the car is paid off) I sat down in the RA after driving the Evo for a week. And it just wasnt the same... Suddenly the car was so much slower, sounded so much weaker. The RA is badass for what it is, and mine carves curves like no other car ive driven (even against the miata). But the Evo is just so much more of everything that made the RA great. I could see how switching to a different brand, or even a different chassis would leave you wanting your RA again. But this just feels like the RA on steroids, every mod I ever wanted for the RA is already there. Just gotta clean it up and make it my own now. :3

Eyelids are kinda attached to the headlights. lol So if you wanna buy the whole setup your welcome. I probably wont be putting the RA completely back to stock. Gunna leave the evo wing on it. The engine is ready to rock with whatever you throw at it, boost higher compression, nitrous... So I cant really very easily remove some of that stuff. But Im going to remove what I can. What I cant will stay with the car. I dont wanna sell my Motegi's but I got nothing else they would fit on... I'll sell the whole car, and all my parts, and the green RA for $5k if someone will come take it all. lol
id suggest putting the motegis on the evo...
but you can probably buy 3 sets of motegis with the money from selling those volks...haha
don't know if they'd fit tho with the brembos

Wilwoods. I might be interested. I am also currently looking for a ra lip if you happen to have one. But yeah that evo looks super great. I always loved evos. But I got to admit that there parts are so much more. But endless to the things you can do
