Thanks Kayouu! Yea it really is an awesome weight to be free of. Plus its cool that my RA is 100% mine now! lol Now I have two strong urges to fight. The first the urge to... BUY ALL THE THINGS!!! for the car that is. haha! The second, the urge to buy another car. I find myself drifting around the forums and craigslist looking at DSMs, and Evos a lot more now... haha

Oh no I would never get rid of my ralliart!!!

Just wanting something thats a bit easier to build, more options and such.

I love my RA too much to get rid of it. But a project car would be nice to have so Im not always working on my DD haha

An option is to slowly build your Lancer as the project car, and get an old subaru impreza (or something like that) as a reliable all-wheel-drive winter beater and dd car. This keeps your RA away from the road salt so it will live long and prosper.

Or move to Florida, where the only salt is on the girls necks

RalliartN: Sounds like a decent plan. I looked around at subaru's at one point. I really wish mitsu's made lower end models with AWD... haha

Lanzer: Thank you its nice to be curse free hahaha! And when you put it that way moving to Florida sounds like a wonderful idea!

congrats on having your carpaid off now...

i was about 5 payments away from paying mine off...but ended up having to refinance it @ weeks ago, along w/ bundling in a bunch of other debt w/ it...now i have another 2 yrs on it.....but overall now i get to pay ~$250 less a month to 1 bill...versus 5 bills...

the worst is that i had agreed w/ my wife i wouldn't seriously mod the car (unless "necessary") untill after i was paid offthumbdwn}
BUT...we agreed i can start modding it "seriously" after may anyway..(when it was supposed to paid off)...if i use my sidework $, not our ussual everyday bill $...

i'm unable to see ALL the pics uve posted but what i see looks good..keep up the good work...
ps: i like that carried over black from the hood back idea...i "photoshopped"(using ms paint) my car that way once before and thought it looks good...hope u have no more dumb drunks hit your car again...

Thanks a lot nekkidlad! I really appreciate it! Ive been planning were to go from here and I have several maintenance things that need attention and I have so many unfinished projects sitting around my garage. Hopefully by spring time I can catch up on it all and really start making it one of a kind.

Got a 3rd brake light on the way.
Looking to get new tail lights.
Got Halo headlights to put on.
Mud flaps to put on.
H-brace to put on.
Subs to put in.
New Struts are on their way.
Needs new tires (hoping I can hold out until I can get new wheels too).
I need a mini battery mount (probably custom make one, I dont wanna spend $100 on cheap aluminum with a couple holes drilled in it...)

Anyway future is looking good for the RA so once I catch up on things the real fun begins! *evil grin* lol

Update:
Had a bunch of stuff come in. Took pictures of a lot of it.

New brake fluid for a complete flush and refill. Super Blue Racing DOT 4

New struts to replace my old and busted ones. KYB GR-2s

New ceramic brake pads all around. Powerstop Evolution

New rear motor mount. Will be Urethane filled soon.

Replacement caliper and random strut stuff. Caliper is from Centric

New 15mm wheel spacers. From Akata spacers.

New red wrapped stainless steel brake lines. From Techna-fit

RRM Under Drive Pulley and belt. From keithdiam0nd

New drilled and slotted rotors. From Powerstop

New extended open ended lugnuts. From Godspeed

As for the other stuff I last posted about:
3rd brake light is in. Need to remove the rear deck to cut out its spot.

Going to order Depo tails as soon as I recover from buying most of the above stuff. lol

Mud flaps will be going in while im in the wheel wells working on the brakes and such.

H-brace still need some work to get it in... ugh...

Subs... more like full stereo replacement the stock speakers from 2004 are starting to sound as if they are on their last leg.

And I think I found a setup for my mini battery just gotta swing by Tractor Supply one day.

And I'll be placing an order with Tire Rack for my Motegi MR-125's and Direzza ZII's hopefully today.

And thats all I got.

Id love to get this all done with soon. But with KY weather throwing snow one day, rain the next, and temps going from 5 up to 45 any given minute its hard to work on it. I need a garage in the worst of ways... lol
