Harness or no harness?

I was checking eBay for Ralliart merchandise and I bought some Ralliart seat belt shoulder pads, , and I saw a Ralliart racing harness on there as well. Now, we (RA Owners) do not drive EVO's but I have seen racing harnesses in OZ's, so the idea of them in an RA is not entirely ridiculous. I was just wondering what u think about harnesses in RA's?

It depends. I think it would be rice if you had no speed to back it up or never tracked it. But if you tracked it a lot it would be fairly reasonable. But if it is just for street driving you probably wouldn't want it. My dad and I have a 1967GTO(389) with racing harnesses because we race it, but they are annoying as **** to drive with around town because they hold you in the whole time. Not just like shoulder belts that will relax and allow you to lean forward and grab something/adjust volume/etc. But you can always do what you want because your car is not my car.

if you do not have a roll cage, your harnesses will not allow you to dive in the instance that you have a roll over. simply put, harnesses in a street car without a rollbar will kill you.

also...I'm from Toronto, Canada. If these are for street use they are illegal in Toronto according to my friend that's a cop. I know they're suppose to be safer but that's what I was told. That's something else you might want to consider

not only that you must mount a harness to a cage or run them directly behind you losing you rear seats if you mount them to the floor your spine will crush in an accident along with some other crap look it up

Too much hassle. Get a CGlock (I'll get one when spring is here) and move onto other stuff

if you go to the autocross sites, you will see they have ways to get 100% postive lock on your seatbelt for FREE..

in terms of the ebay special harnesses, they are not FIA or even DOT approved.. if you crash i doubt they will do you any good... seat belt, seats and brakes are three area where your money is worth your life
